Vegetarian and Vegan Cooking Class

 

Being a vegetarian is more than just eating your veggies. Come learn how to eat healthy and balanced as a vegetarian or vegan, identify good sources of protein and fat and discuss how not to be a hyper consumer of carbohydrates.

 

Learn the basics of cooking and making wholesome, tasty main dishes, sides and salads.  We will highlight the use of legumes and whole grains, use seasonal vegetables and discuss how not to be a hyper consumer of simple carbohydrates.  Meatless Monday – be prepared! 

 

Note: This is not a gluten-free class.

Sourdough Creations

This is not a bread class!

Have you ever wondered what to do with your discarded sourdough starter? Each time you feed your starter, you need to discard a portion.

Join Health Coach and Traditional Wisdom Modern Kitchen certified teacher Ashley Pharazyn to learn how easy it is to make yummy snacks from your discard sourdough. 

 

During this class you are going to learn how to make crackers, pancakes, onion fritters and muffins with your discarded sourdough starter.

Fantastic Ferments

Have you been inspired to learn how to make naturally fermented food, but just don’t know where to start? 

 

This is a hands-on class that will teach the why’s and how’s of this ancient food preservation technique.  Learn the health benefits of fermentation as well as the differences between canning and fermentation.

 

Together, we will make fresh salsa and sumptuous sauerkraut. In addition, this class will teach how to make kombucha, a bubbly drink that contains beneficial probiotics and amino acids. Students will leave with recipes, jars of salsa, and sauerkraut as well as started kombucha.

 

All supplies will be provided.  Bring a small box to carry your jars home at the end of the class.

Healthy glowing skin starts with good nutrition. Join Health Coach Ashley Pharazyn for this hands-on class where you are going to learn what to add to your daily diet to help your skin stay strong and radiant.

 

From juices to dinners and everything in between, you will leave knowing what to add in to your diet and what to cut out to have radiant glowing skin.
