MAPLE ALMOND BUTTER FAT BOMBS
We always have a tray of these in the freezer. They are a great snack on the go or a quick fix if your toddler thinks that lunch is taking too long to be made. These melt in your mouth and are full of protein and healthy fats.
Fat has a bad reputation. I grew up in the 90's during the heart of the low fat, skim, and nonfat era. Food was flavourless and we now know most of those additives and preservatives do quite a bit of damage in the body. Fats from a healthy source help build the brain and spinal cord, boost energy, improve health of skin and hair, and balance hormones. All important to feeling your best.
Switch up the almond butter for cashew butter or peanut butter (if candida is not an issue in the body). We use this cashew butter at home.
1/2 cup almond butter
1/4 cup butter
2 tbsp coconut oil
3-4 tbsp maple syrup
1. Melt the almond butter, butter, and coconut
oil over low heat.
2. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup.
3. Scoop mixture into silicone moulds.
4. Freeze for 4 hours and enjoy!
